The future we didn't ask for
AI was meant to enhance our perspective - not replace it.
We didn’t create technology to strip away our humanity.
AI was never meant to replace our thinking.
It wasn’t designed to erase creativity.
AI tools were meant to give us breathing space in a world plagued by notifications, deadlines, and inefficient manual processes.
We needed space to be able to focus on what matters: ideas, people, purpose, time.
But somewhere along the journey, something went wrong.
Driven by corporate greed, we leaned too far into convenience, outsourcing more than just tasks…
We began outsourcing aspects of ourselves.
Need ideas for a title? ChatGPT writes it.
Need a design? Co-pilot generates it.
Need an idea, song lyrics, a plot outline? Claude serves it up.

Where is the individuality?
Where are your opportunities to refine and hone your own skills?
We needed help with repetitive tasks, not with our thoughts. Yet here we are, letting algorithms influence what we watch, eat, wear, say… even what we think or believe.
Technology should enhance our perspective, not replace it. It should simplify repetitive processes, not obliterate any semblance of personality.
It’s time to reclaim the intention: Tech should empower humanity, not diminish it.

💡 Interrogate your own work, and that of others. Ask yourself: “Is this work mine and unique to me - or is it generically generated?” or “Can I trust what I’ve read? Or do I need to do some of my own research to verify this is accurate?”
💡 Create protected times for thinking without AI tools
💡If you run a business, ensure you strike a balance between automating parts of processes that are solid use cases, and encouraging and protecting human thinking. Don’t over-automate for the sake of speed or assumed ease. Be a champion for the value that critical thinking and creativity brings
